The Student Section Chronicles

In keeping with the general theme of investigating matters conference wide, we'll soon be starting a new series of posts about the various student sections in The Summit League. Student sections are a sacred area in college hoops arenas across the country. They are home to die-hard fans who put much effort into giving their team the best home-court advantage possible. Our conference, like most at this level, has struggles with student attendance and participation, but that doesn't mean there aren't those who spend every moment of every game on their feet chanting for their team and deriding the other.
We've done our best to track down student representatives from all of The Summit League schools, and where current students were unavailable, recent alums or employees have stepped in. Still, we may not have reports from all 10 schools, but a solid majority should be represented by the time all the posts are churned out. We hope what follows is a close-up look at the entities which make college basketball games fun events for students to attend every season.

The first post will debut shortly, with new entries coming every few days or so. We'll wrap it up with a follow-up post at the end to look for similarities or noteworthy items amongst them all.
